root user login error message

Dear,

i recently installed ubuntu 8.04 hardy, after installing i enable the root user to login. but when i login as a root user it shows message box like error when i clik ok then only the root user login..

Why the error message comes......

After installing of likewise opne the system joind with windows AD domain but the domain user can't login. when i try to login as a domain user it show message login incorrect... What's the problem... in my system....

Sorry can't help with this: I have no idea what you are talking about... I'm blissfully ignorant when it comes to windows.
