RGBA in GNOME's menus

I want to know: How the heck do you get RGBA enabled in GNOME's menubar, and how do you tweak it? I have been trying desperately to find something that would do this, to no avail.

First of all: I have Lucid, not Karmic.

Secondly, RGBA was enabled - partly - after following these instructions. However, it only enabled the basics. As evidence, here you go:

Attachment 2893

As you can see, the panels have RGBA, but nothing else. Why?

Why should I care ? Both those instructions are exactly the same, and since you had already installed it and didn't say how you had set it up ... I suggest you check your settings.
