Hi,

I would be glad to configure the icewm and gtk to a similar
retro computer:

Maybe leafpad could be made similar to that...

If you heard of anythg in that direction, i.e. http://eee701planetoid.files.wordpre...e-20111007.png, please let us know.

thank you and kind regards,
X.

Unfortuntely what you want is getting harder and harder to find. The themes are not apparently being maintained anymore, and the monochrome version non-existant.

The newer, grey version, was available for years as a GTK+/GTK+2 theme called "Platinum", however last time I tried to find it for my iBook running Debian, all links ended in dead ends.

would you maybe have a screenshot?

(currently my theme looks like this)

But I particularly like the grey of the old good apple. was a great machine
I like for the eyes relaxing... the icons were cute
it was simple, specifically ideally made for reading wihtout being distracted !
People are so much un-efficiently working nowadays (buying things they dont need, reading things while they have to deal with urgent-important matters... and so on)

would be great if someone would have this theming and
could make linux look the very same, same fonts, same notepad...

THat theme apparently has not been touched since 2006, and the author admits at that time it was still incomplete.

Umm, if you could be tempted to use XFCE...there seems to be a platinum version of that look...
My two cents, dont shoot me here... :)

you could also use the one from ramierz
Code:

An iceWM window decoration that resembles the macos system 7
Autor: José Ernesto Ramírez Ramírez
version: 0.1
Release date: 25 May 2005

I was searching a window decoration but I cannot find
anything suitable.

So I decided make it myself. I used iceWM because it was
easy.

If ir like to you or you have any comments
please drop me a line!

But actzually maybe there si a WM that clone this screenshot attacched?
it is simple and was such a great machine at thtat time. almost my first compjuter

It appears to be a blog, themed to look like System 7 and below.

Hi Goumba,

Regarding platinium, with google, I also could not find it ... unfortunately.
I must say that the screenshot he gave looks really nice.

apps like this old good mac arent also availabe. maybe better to emulate directly the mac in linux

Do you think that for the desktop, he used idesk ?
