If you mean graphical boot screen you can disable that in your grub.conf.

If it's for personal use then you can find any logo's that are not compiled in somewhere in /usr to blank or move. If it's for de-branded redistribution then you should read CentOS docs. I don't know if they would appreciate that sort of thing.

Hi unSpawn. I admit I haven't read any CentOS docs, but I'm curious as to why you feel this might not sit well with them. It's my understanding that CentOS itself is just a re-branded RHEL. I quote from their site:

CentOS mainly changes packages to remove upstream vendor branding and artwork.

Because they've done all the hard work?

OIC. Well, I do agree that it would be kinda messed-up for the OP to simply strip CentOS of its logos and stuff and then redistribute it. But that's pretty much the image I have of what the CentOS people did with RHEL. Granted, they do re-compile the whole thing from RHEL's source code, according to what I just read on Wikipedia. I guess that would probably be the main difference right there.

Yes, it's the general perception it's all "just" stripping logos or "just" recompiling packages. But I think that with a distribution that has set one of its goals to be RHEL compliant in every aspect there's more organisation and QA involved than most people know about or appreciate.
