remove centos logo
Hi,
I want to remove the centos log that shown while it loading the services. and also want to remove all icon&taskbar from desktop. I am using centos 5. is it possible ? how I can do that ? Please help. Thanks. |

OIC. Well, I do agree that it would be kinda messed-up for the OP to simply strip CentOS of its logos and stuff and then redistribute it. But that's pretty much the image I have of what the CentOS people did with RHEL. Granted, they do re-compile the whole thing from RHEL's source code, according to what I just read on Wikipedia. I guess that would probably be the main difference right there.

Yes, it's the general perception it's all "just" stripping logos or "just" recompiling packages. But I think that with a distribution that has set one of its goals to be RHEL compliant in every aspect there's more organisation and QA involved than most people know about or appreciate.
