Recording video streams via a proxy
 
I issue the following command to record video streams:

gmplayer -dumpstream mms://xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx.asf

Unfortunately, I cannot record a children's programme in Welsh (Mabinogi)!

If you are outside the UK, the BBC only allows you to view a selection of programme.

Does anyone know how to get around this (via a proxy)?

My little child would really appreciate this (we don't have a satellite). As you can imagine it's very difficult to get hold of Welsh language children's videos in Belgium!

The method is described here: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/HTML-si...html#streaming . If you're not really asking for (help with) a method but asking for usable proxy addresses instead, I doubt that is content that should be on LQ.
