Re: Problem with starting KDE


Hello,

Am a newbie, before, my colleague helped me configure Xserver/KDE/KDM and it would start automatically whenever i would use linux, but now my debian machine cant start the graphical view i.e kde.

I have tried;

#startx

But i get errors;

X: cannot stat /tmp/.x11-unix (No such file or directory), aborting.
giving up.
> xinit: Connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server
> xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.

Plz assist me,
