problem update fedora 6


Hello all

i have install the new fedora core 6 I386 in my laptop
when i try to open add and remove or update the system i get this
error

cannot find a valid baseurl for repo : core

i have a firewall open on port 8080
ive tried seting the port in the proxy setup of the system
and also export http_proxy but still it doesnt work

any idea ?

You probably need to configure your yum.conf. Please post the contents of your yum.conf '/etc/yum.conf'. Also what country and if the US what state do you live in. I need to know this to choose the correct mirror if we need to edit your yum.conf.
