problem running window decorations and compiz on kde

i have had kubuntu for a while and found out about compiz fusion. so i decided to try it. after following the directions of installation on this page so my window decorations have dissapeared after following the directions on this page "https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CompositeManager/CompizFusion" . i think i may have messed up. i think the problem is that im using the emerald window manager. how do i switch back to kwin or make emerald work?

have the compiz fusion icon installed and make it run at startup(optional)
on the notifiacations part of your taskbar right click the compiz icon and you have the options to do so
