Printing PDF docs from the IRS Website

When I print IRS forms (e.g., f8606.pdf) the image is cropped on the left and bottom. I've tried direct printing (lpr f8606.pdf) as well as using xpdf-3.01.

I use CUPS under Slack 11.0 I've tried setting margins and shrinking the image under CUPS, but nothing changes.

I *can* print the pdf files properly from Acrobat Reader 5.05, but not without lots of messages about how old it is.

What's the secret to direct printing of pdf files?

I just downloaded the file and saved it.
I then opened it with adobe reader 7.0
It printed fine.

AFAIK my Slack doesn't have V 7.0; I'll have to look again.

However, I solved the prob by generating a PostScript file with pdf2ps, which uses Ghostscript for pdf->ps conversion (a page at a time, alas). The new ps file prints fine directly from CUPS.

Thanks for the suggestion.
