Question Print dialog options in Fedora Core 8

I installed the hplip-1.7.4a print package into my FC 8 install so I can print with my custom features like double-sided printing, etc on our HP Color Laserjet 3800 DN.

I notice gedit gives me a print dialog that takes full advantage of my print features. But Firefox and Thunderbird give me a totally different, sparser print dialog that has no option to check for Duplex printing or anything else.

That's really all I print from under Linux. Is there a way I can get Firefox and all other apps to all use the "advanced" print dialog I get with gedit?
