Power cut - now booting doesn't complete

Hello,

So we had this power cut while I was using my PC and thereafter it's refusing to bootup.
It powers up and the splash screen comes but is interrupted with the message:
Quote:
Generating "/run/initramfs/osreport.txt"

Entering emergency mode. Exit the shell to continue.
Type "journalctl" to view system logs.
You might want to save "/run/initramfs/sosreport.txt" to a USB stick or /boot after mounting them and attach it to a bug report.

:/#
So I tried journalctl and it just comes up with pages and pages
I then tried booting up my system with a LiveCD and try to mount the partition from there so I can get hold of "/run/initramfs/sosreport.txt" but the partition refuses to mount with an error
Quote:
Error mounting: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda3,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
Attached are some screenshots.

The 524MB ext4 can be mounted OK; the partition refusing to be mounted is the 7.3GB ext4

Result of running dmesg | tail
Quote:
~ $ dmesg | tail

[ 597.398206] EXT4-fs (sda1): mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. Opts: (null)
For the record, the OS on my HDD is Fedora 19 LXDE.

Thanks in anticipation.

Have a look at this thread: "Failed to read block" during fsck (LQ)

Do read the complete thread first before attempting any recovery (which might or might not work.....).
