So we had this power cut while I was using my PC and thereafter it's refusing to bootup.
It powers up and the splash screen comes but is interrupted with the message:

So I tried journalctl and it just comes up with pages and pages
I then tried booting up my system with a LiveCD and try to mount the partition from there so I can get hold of "/run/initramfs/sosreport.txt" but the partition refuses to mount with an error

In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

Attached are some screenshots.
The 524MB ext4 can be mounted OK; the partition refusing to be mounted is the 7.3GB ext4

For the record, the OS on my HDD is Fedora 19 LXDE.
