plugin for live webcam

Hi All

I often visit hogsbreath to watch live music on their stage. If i try with Suse 10.1 when i click on webcam i get "click here to download plugin" all i get is no plugin found their is an option to manual install but all you get is taken to billy gates download site for media player.

I am using a dell inspiron 1100, 40gb drive, 512 ram, Suse 10.1 boxed version.

if you were refering to:

http://www.hogsbreath.com/hogcam/

you need a plugin that will handle microsoft .asx video. there are several options. my favourite is: Mplayerplug-in as it has several really nice features, fullscreen, copy url, etc. There are also Totem plugins and probably 1 or two others that escape me right now.. (i.e. moz-plugger).

which ever one you get you'll probably also need the w32codecs package for your distro.

info on mplayer plugin can be found here:

http://mplayerplug-in.sourceforge.net/

if you can't find w32codecs for your distro just google it and there will be lots of options .. possibly too many.. best to consult with someone more familiar with Suse.

Of course you'll need mplayer installed to use the mplayer plugin..

Hope this helps
