Phonon and GNOME?

I'm interested in developing Media applications with Phonon. Is there a place where I can download Phonon WITHOUT downloading the rest of KDE?
Personally, I despise KDE. I can't stand it.
However, Phonon sounds like an awesome API.
So, where can I download Phonon so it can be used on GNOME?
And, what programming language bindings does it support yet? Ruby? Python?

As far as I know, Phonon is only available in C++ (for right now); I'm sure Python, Ruby, and other language bindings will be along very shortly.

I don't think Phonon is avaiable apart from the rest of KDE; it may be intertwined with the other KDE APIs, but if by chance it isn't, your only solution may be to download the KDE source packages, and take what you need.
