Panel eating my applications

When I go to minimize applications the panel eats them and they are closed.there must be a fix.

Hi, and welcome to LQ!

Does the apps 'button' show in the panel when the app is running?

It would be most helpful to know what distro and desktop you're using.

Whose panel? KDE, Gnome, Xfce, what?
You don't say in your post, your sig, your profile, or your choice of sub-forum (currently "Linux - Desktop")

I think we need a little more info.

What gives jgz, so far (3 Mar 2008) at LQ you have posted 7 msgs. in 5 threads, all of which you started. Your "score" is:Did you find solutions to these problems on your own? If so, please share them. There are several reasons to do this:
  • It brings closure to the thread.
