panel bar icons for websites

I'm setting up panel bar icons to start instances of a web browser to specifically go to each of many websites, including LinuxQuestions. So I'm looking for sets of icons, preferrably in square form factor (and currently my panel bar size needs 22x22). I did some searching for web site link icons (normally used on web sites to other web sites. But mostly what I find are very specialized icons and limited sets mostly just a dozen or so social sites. LinuxQuestions isn't even among any of them.

Of course I can get their icons from the sites themselves. But that only works for a few that offer icons to be used for links. Rarely do they offer scalable SVG ones. I don't know how well they will work with panel bars (I had try a couple a while back and they came out crappy on the panel bar even though they worked fine on a web page).

One thing I do see in the collections I find is that there is a similarity styling. For example I saw one that made each icon in the form of an old postage stamp. I'm sure that's lovely for a stamp collector web site. I'm not trying to make a common theme on the panel bar others that a consistent sizing.

Has anyone seen (or know the "magic googly incantations" to find) a large set for many (hundreds, maybe thousands) of web sites?

Oh, BTW, the favicon doesn't cut it. They are 16x16. Too small. Right now I'm looking for either 22x22 or scalable SVG.
