whats up bro!

Can you tell me if Openmamba is Ubuntu or Debian based or what?

Can you copy/paste the syslinux.cfg on usb in your next post?

Is there a folder named "live" or "casper" on the usb?

flukee 11-08-2009 05:51 AM

openmamba is independant
no casper or live folder and here what it says in syslinux.cfg

Have you tried all the diff boots?
None of the enttries boot?

When does it freeze?

flukee 11-08-2009 05:57 AM

ive tried most of them..and it freezes on the splash screen that says open mamba with the loading bar at the bottom

linus72 11-08-2009 06:12 AM

OK
I'm not familiar with openmamba..

what folders are on the usb?

and, disable the splash screen
so you can see the text output at boot

either edit syslinux.cfg directly with text
editor

or
hit TAB button at boot screen
and use < > arrow keys and backspace to delete
Code:

splash=silent,fadein quiet
from one ormore of the boot entries

its probably sticking cause there's a boot
cheatcode that we dont know
like

root = ?

you see where ther's nothing after root =

maybe try the UUID of the USB?

type in blkid, as root
while usb is mounted
B L K I D
in small leters

then add that to
Code:

root=UUID=<number>
