opening ports in shorewall

Hi, I am running Mandriva 10 official. I am trying to access a site which requires me to keep certain ports open to them. I cannot access the site because, I believe, shorewall is stopping traffic on these ports. How do I set shorewall to keep specified ports open to traffic? Any help would be appreciated

You can use the Mandriva Control Centre >Security >...firewall. If you click on "Advanced", you get a box where you can enter ports.

I need to look at this too. I found one reasonably recent thread from a google search.
