Old Gnome / KDE releases

Hi guys!

I would like to know where I can find the old Gnome / KDE Desktop environments (1.0 / 1.1)..

And if it will be possible to install them in a modern system..

Thank you very much!

Also please forgive me for my bad english.

I doubt that you will get those running on modern systems, you will have to search for older releases of distributions. KDE 1.0 was released in 1998, GNOME in 1999, so maybe you will find a version of Suse Linux 6.x or maybe Slackware 7.0 to test it in a virtual machine.

I agree with Tobi, I seriously doubt you will get them running on modern hardware. If you really want to try this out get an old 386 or 486, download what you need from Debian's archive (Choose the release you want to try, go into main, then disks and download the images) and install it.
