Question OCR & Tesseract...Anyone tried it ?

Hey all, First post and just wondering if anyone has tried the Tesseract OCR engine that Google released to open source recently. I run MEPIS OS that uses Kooka & Sane but OCR is not so great with it. Take care, 2GNUBY
