No apache MPM package installed error

I'm getting this error after I used a2ensite/a2dissite and try to reload server, as per this example. Apache version 2.2, compiled from source. OS Ubuntu 9.04 server. And apachectl -l shows there is prefork compiled in :\ Any idea whats happening, or at least how to check whats happening?

Edit: sorry for wrong forum, I hope someone could move it to Linux Server group...

If you're running apache compiled from source, then the howto you've followed is not usable. Instead you have to configure vhosts using the default method and restart apache for the changes to take effect.
