New Kwrite Behavior when creating a new line.

In Kwrite 3, if I have the cursor in the middle of the line and press enter, the cursor remains at the beginning of the newly created line.

In Kwrite 4, if I do the same thing, the cursor will jump to the end of the line. This is driving me crazy and I can't figure out how to change the behavior back.

Anybody have some insight for me?

Change the setting "Indentation mode"
in menu Settings - Configure Editor - Indentation.

Please be more specific. I have been fooling with the indentation settings and none of the changes seem to make a difference in this particular behavior.

My kubuntu 8.04 comes with kwrite 3
It works fine. Why did you install kwrite 4, and where from?
There's also kate which I find is "better" than kwrite.
YMMV

Because it is the version installed with KDE 4.1 RC!...
From Help, About...
KWrite Version 4.00.98 (KDE 4.0.98 (4.1 RC1))
Using KDE 4.00.98 (KDE 4.0.98 (4.1 RC1))

Kate uses Kwrite as its editor. If you use Kate, you are using Kwrite, unless they have changed this in KDE 4. Kate just adds functionality I have no need for.

Thanks.
