Hi and welcome to LQ.

There is a tool in PCLinuxOS called XFdrake. Use that to configure your graphics settings. Its available in the control center or you can access it by entering the command XFdrake (as root) in the command line.

Smile Thanks

thanks for the help problem solved!
my other issue is that i'm running pc linixos on a laptop with
an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M card, and i cannot seem to enable the 3d effects. the ati driver i tried to install last time completely crashed the KDE and i was forced to re-install.

Also is there a way to install a linux based driver for a woreless card without using that ndswrapper thing which uses a windows driver?

any help would be much appreciated. loving linux more everyday

For the radeon 3D effects stuff, I suggest you start a new thread. As for wireless cards, there are some that are natively supported by Linux e.g. those based on the ralink chipsets. Some Belkin and Edimax cards contain ralink chipsets, but unfortunately I can't give you specific model names/numbers.
