Need help using Clonezilla live CD

Trying to clone a sata hard drive with win2kpro to another sata hard drive on my PC. Using gparted-clonezilla live CD, clonezilla live 1.0.7-18. I don't know what to type here to continue the cloning process:

casper@live:~$

What I did:

boot live CD
Select Clonezilla live 1.0.7-18
Select English
Select Don't touch keymap
Select Start Clonezilla Start Clonezilla
Select mode: device-device disk/partition to disk/partition
disk to local disk local disk to local disk clone

Chose local disk as source:
()sda ST3160...........

chose option 2 at black console screeen, then get prompt,

casper@live:~$

Don't know what to do next.

If things went ok with no errors, I normally select option ( 1,I think ) to reboot.
If you select option ( 2 ) for the command line, you can become root and do thingies that root types do.
To get there, type:
Code:
sudo su -
If you want to get back into the clonezilla thing, type: ocs
When you are done in the command line, you can also run the command: reboot

Things didn't go ok because I don't clone as yet. All I did was choose the source drive for cloning , don't choose destination drive a s yet. How do I choose destination drive ? I know the exit sequence is 0 (poweroff) then 1 (reboot).

After I chose local disk as source I press Enter and go to command line. Here:

(0) Poweroff
(1) Reboot
(2) Enter command line prompt
(3) Start over

I chose 2 for comnmand line and got this prompt:

casper@live:~$

Don't know what do do next.

Should I use 'sudo su -' although I'm cloning windows and not linux ?

Not sure what problem you're having.
Maybe boot into Windows and right click on the C: drive / Properties / Tools / select the option to check disk. That won't happen until the next reboot.

Also, I noticed in your example that you don't actually have the source disk selected.

Press the space bar to select it ....

For example:
Code:
Chose local disk as source:
(*)sda Maxtor_6L100M0

Choose local disk as target:
(*)sda Maxtor_6L100M0
Be careful to select the right one as source.

I'd think you could boot to any live cd or live usb to use dd or partimage or such.

Try this how to for maybe some mistake you are making?
http://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-live-doc.php

For some things I still like G4U. It is about as simple as it gets.
