Nautilus Background issue

Since I installed Cent OS 6 32 bit, I have a strange problem in nautilus. Usually , I used to enable the nautilus background (Nautilus--> Edit --> Background and preferences). Then I drag and drop my favorite background in nautilus and it applies. But then when I close the nautilus and re-open, the background gets reset (No background is found). But if I open a new tab in nautilus , the background appears.

I'm quite confused.
