Name workspaces

Is there a (safe) way to rename Workspace under Gnome (I'm using Fedora 25)?

I read some post elsewhere which may achieve this by either using either:
  • gsettings
  • dconf-editor

I'm still learning Linux. I don't understand these environment settings and whether they may have an adverse affect on my (home) system. And would this change be preserved during an upgrade to Fedora 26?

On a side note, I almost got burnt yesterday using usermod -G. So reluctant to make certain changes before I understand it fully. Thanks.

then don't change them.

btw, gnome really sucks with customization.

if you do this a lot you might want to consider a different desktop environment.
