Multiple Autologins; Multiple Users; Multiple Sessions (solved)

It's easy enough with gdm, and I'm sure, other display managers, to setup autologin for a particular user, normally on display :0.0

How would I go about setting up autologin for multiple users? eg, I would have a gnome session on :0.0, my wife, an xfce session on :1.0, etc.

Also, how can I ensure that my session, on :0.0, is the one which is displayed on bootup, vs my wife's on :2.0 ?

cheers,
