Map a keypress to a GUI button (when keycode 175 pressed a GUI button pressed)

Hi,

ENV:
Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64
Debian Squeeze/Sid, gnome (gdm3)

I am feeling a little silly on this one as I am pretty sure it's a Linux bread and Butter question/answer but I cant seem to work out how to achieve my goal.

I would like to be able to do this for lots of things but here is the particular problem:

I have an ATI Wonder remote control and that appears as an extra keyboard, it has a nice big RED record button, which according to 'xev' when pressed is keycode 175

I also have GUVCview running and it has a button titled 'Cap. Image' which is under the GUVCview 'Video and Files' tab.

So what I would like is when ever I press the RED record button on my remote it presses GUVCview 'Cap. Image' button.

M.
