Making a Sound Scheme in Gnome

Hi all. I have been combing the interwebs, trying to find the simplest way to make a sound scheme for Gnome 3 under Sabayon. From what I've discovered, it's a matter of installing a canberra engine and copying files around and renaming them to match the event name. Here's the issue with this: I'm running a dual-boot, and all my sounds are on the Win7 partition. Is there a program to design a sound scheme and have the Windows sounds as targets (copying them over would eat my Linux partition).
Thanks,
Hunter
