Exclamation Lost GUI after making changes in Windows Manager Settings using FC9

Hello,

I've been using FC9 (upgraded from FC5), for about a month now and am absolutely impressed! I love it so much that I'm ready to try the 64 bit version and maybe the 10 Beta.

However, I want to download the iso image from the server I have running now and did something last week that I cannot seem to fix. I kept losing my window whenever I would minimize it and wondered where it went to. To try and fix this problem I went in to Windows Manager and made a few changes. I did not notice anything different after I closed Windows Manager so I reboot the system and now I get black screen after I log in with silhouettes of boxes in a different shade of black if you will. These boxes are probably the widgets that I added from the gnome desktop.

Please, someone help! I have to find a way to fix this from the command line since all I can do at this point is use Ctrl-Alt F1 to get a command line from the "Black hole" I'm staring at. How can I fix this. Help! I feel the mass of NTFS nothingness starting to pull me into it's null sucking squander.

1st just know that the x64 bit edition will cannot use Adobe Flash player... I spent a lot of time and heart ache trying to make this work.

well when you make changes to the windows it should backup your config file. i believe that they are located in /etc/X11/
i think you are looking for x11org.conf

look for older versions
