Linux Program to Help with Color Choosing?

Hi. Does anybody know if there is a small program out there to help me choose determine color values? I often need to play-around with mixing certain colors and then copy and paste the hex value into my programs. Normally I do this with Gimp, but it is something of a bother to open up such a large program every time I need to quickly figure out some color.

Thanks. Just compiled and installed it, and so far it works great! I like the various options for displaying triads and complements and so forth.

[Geeky side notes: There seems to be a few issues with the source code. The documentation and configure help says that libgnome and libgconfmm support are optional; however, when I tried the --disable-gnome and --disable-gconf configure options, the libraries are not included, but the source code itself still tries to use the functions.

Also, I installed cppunit, but I still couldn't get the unit tests to succeed. Dies with a bunch of complaints about missing references to various cppunit functions. Not certain, but I suspect that the tests were probably built with an incompatible version of cppunit. (I installed 1.12.1).]

not to diss agave, but it is much simpler to open a browser and use the w3schools link (IMHO)
