KUBUNTU 9.04 without graphic mode

Hello my friends,

My KUBUNTU 9.04 is no more starting in graphic mode, but it starts only in command line. After some searching I learned that I should place this command:

"sudo startx"

However, then I got the following error messages:

"Fatal server error: no screens found"

With the advice to check the X.Org site at http://wiki.x.org

Also, it advices me to check additional information in the log file at:
"/var/log/Xorg.0.log"

(I have read this log file but I can't understand or configure it...).

There are 3 more error messages:

"xinit: No such file or directory (errno2): unable to connect to X server"
"xinit: No such process (errno3): Server error."
"xauth: error in locking authority file /home/user/.Xauthority"

When I search with such error messages I find nothing that would work.

I have tryed:
When GRUB is loading, I press "ESC" key to enter the "recovery mode" and I choose the option "Try to auto repair graphic problems" but it does not work too!!! How could I repair my KUBUNTU? Some people say that I could make it with an alternate KUBUNTU CD. I still have little knowledge on LINUX command line and I don't know even how to apply this method.

Please let me know if there is an easy way to restore KUBUNTU. Thank you all beforehand for your help.

You may wish to look into installing a newer version of Kubuntu. The newest version is 12.04. The version you are running reached end of life in October 2010 (2 years ago almost) so there will be no more updates to it. I strongly recommend you get the newest version.
