Unhappy Kopete wont accept my password (yes it is the correct one)

Hi

I've recently installed Kopete 0.11.1 using KDE 3.5.2 and when I try to sign on it wont seem to accept my password

I'm running the software on Ubuntu 6.06.1 and the first time I installed it there seemed to be no problem as I was able to use it as I normally would without any problem.

This occured even though I hadn't made any changes to my system I can think of.

Why this has happened is something I'm unsure about, so I'm hoping someone has an idea of what my problem is.

Thanks

which type of account do you use?
ICQ or ...? Cause I heard of a problem regarding ICQ.
Or do you use the Password Wallet stuff? The thing from KDE that offers you to save your passwords? If so turn it off!

Long time to reply ... sorry about that!

Anyway, I was using an msn account (yeah I know) and that's what I thought though I couldn't seem to find this in any of the GUI menus and looking through the /usr/bin directory I couldn't seem to find anything matching this.

I'm now using aMSN which works fine for me, as I was never such a big fan of kepete, because I prefered to use GAIM. Then again, I like to be able to use web cam which GAIM seems to lack unless there's a plugin for that.

So in conclusion I'm fairly happy at the moment though the problem still remains unsolved.

Unfortunatly, aMSN only lets you sign on with one account at a time seems like they decided to REALLY clone MSN and bring in the disadvantages that come with it.
