Kopete: how to remove formatting of incoming text?

In Kopete (v1.2.3), how do I override contacts' formatting? People send me craziness and I just want plain text.

I feel it should be built-in (I'm not a user, I'm afraid), but looking at, if you used the pipes plugin and ran it through a script to remove formatting tags, that should do the job

in settings -> "chat window" -> "colours and fonts" -> "do not use user formatting" Please excuse my reverse translation.

unfortunately that doesnt work, i think that refers to my formatting, not the other person.
