Kontact,Kmail: move all setup and user data to a new installation

Is there a simple and save way to move my mail, mail account setup, calendar, to do list, addressbook etc. to my new installation?

Will simply moving my ~/.kde folder do the job? Or is it better to use import tools?

Copying your ~/.kde folder, will copy your mail etc.
It also contains your configuration files for kde.
If i need to backup my kde files, i'll just copy my ~/.kde folder and never went something wrong.
