Kernel parameter to auto-recreate initrd

Hi!

I want to know; exist a way to re-create the initrd-xxx.img when kernel boot and then, boot the new initrd normally?

Well, as an initial answer until someone who knows better shows up, I'd say you have to put a script to check /proc/cmdline in your boot sequence to do the job.

I might be wrong here, but did you delete the old one?

one option would be to boot an older kernel ( assuming available ) and then use your package manager to reinstall the 'current' kernel.

Another option is boot a liveCD, chroot and again use package manager to reinstall kernel

details on Distro will help
