KDE4.2 Logging Options
 

Hi,

I'm running Debian's KDE 4.2 packages. I am having issues where the plasma taskbar crashes. How do I enable Plasma logging?

do you mean the panel or task manager widget?

I think terms may need to be specific?

your /home has .xauthority file that may assist with some issues.

2) it is possible you have a gremlin from kaboom?

try creating a new user and starting a fresh kde4 configs and see if you get crashes in there?

Panel Widget
 

I mean the panel widget. Every once in a while, the bottom panel widget, including the little transparent thing in the bottom corner just disappears. The only one left is on the top at that point.

Admittedly, this is Debian Sid, so I can expect some instability.

Any ideas?

(I am right handed)

rh click panel...choose panel options then panel settings....click on more settings and look at your current visibility options.

I prefer always visible....but I suspect (for attempt 1) that you have hide or windows cover)
