Whenever I run an application such as firefox or konsole in KDE, the running application does not display in the panel. This is driving me nuts, and I can't figure out how to re-enable or show the running apps.
I know from a pgrep that the apps are still running but I can't can't easily access them.
Right click on the Panel-->Task Manager settings. This will open up a Task Manager setting window. There will be an option Only show tasks that are minimized, uncheck this box and you will be able to see the running window in the Panel.
Unfortunately I was unable to find a commandline that can bring up the task manager setting box. Though I saw shortcut keys ALT+D,S but that didn't work for me.
You can give a try to this:
1. Open up Kconsole.
2. It will not show up in the panel as it is maximized so minimize it.
3. Right click on minimized Kconsole and you should be able to see Task Manager Setting option there.
4. Continue with the steps mentioned in previous post as to which option to uncheck.
