KDE Neon Plasma freezing
 
Occasionally it freezes and the only thing that will respond is the cursor; I can move it, but not click anything.

How would I go about diagnosing this?

Actually I have no idea, sorry. Maybe updating your installation could help...

What is your distribution?
 
I actually had a similar problem (quite) a while back on my openSUSE Leap 42.1 (or was it 42.2) desktop using KDE. The problem was solved when an upgrade to KDE came out. Don't remember where the bug was.
