KDE Menu problems

I just installed Slackware 13.1 and so far so good, except for the KDE menu. Can't stand that new Kick Off menu so went back to the classic menu.

Problem is, can't edit it. It all looks good in the editor, but when I click on the actual menu nothing is where I put it or is just missing. This only seems to happen with existing items. I can add items to the menu and they are there. Another problem is you can't seem to put anything between two menu items as it will just go into the lower sub menu item.

Very annoying.

Is there an alternative menu I can install. I like this type of menu as it is so much easier to use than all these new menus OS's have started using.

Thanks

Anyone????

I can't believe this menu even made it to production. It's like a grade 9 programming project gone wrong. I have never seen such a bad program. It just plain doesn't work. Am I the only one having this issue?????? I have just spent the last several hours trying to edit it and get it right, but to no avail.

Hi, not responding to your basic menu problem, but not liking kickoff either, I gave Lancelot a try, and I love it, making it default on any kde installation I touch :)

Try to post on the Slackware forum. Maybe someone else from Slackware users met this problem.
