I agree with previous posters - KDE4 may not be great right now, but it has some major potential. I look forward to KDE4.1, 4.2, etc.

I concur. Many kde-4.x features are broken, and many kde-3.5.x features have been omitted. I have rolled back to Fedora 8, which has kde-3.5.10. I am considering spinning my own release of Fedora that will have many of the current package updates as in Fedora 10, but I will stay with kde-3.5.10. |
Personally i like KDE4 very much.
I think it was released too early though. KDE 4.0 and 4.1 were not exactly stable, and many KDE apps were not yet ported to KDE4 (KDevelop!). However since KDE 4.1.2 thing went very well. KDE 4 is my desktop of choice, it's useful, pretty and innovative. I'm waiting to start using KDE 4.2 soon :D |
Memberwise, Reported for digging an old thread.
Userwise, KDE 4.2 has matured a lot and is past the stage of the topic of this thread. |
