KDE 3 - locate mouse cursor

KDE 4 has a desktop effect called 'Track Mouse'. You hold down a couple of keys and yellow stars appear spinning around the mouse cursor to highlight it's position. Anyone know a way to get equivalent functionality in KDE 3?

There is a setting in KDE 3 to locate the mouse with the control key IIRC. Look in Control Center.
