Is unity in ubuntu 12.04 stable

Can unity in ubuntu 12.04 considered stable at this time?

Had heard a lot of crashes when Unity was launched in 11.04. But not with 12.04.
So I think it is stable. Also it is LTS edition with 5 years support. So you can go with it.

I have never heard the word "stable" used to describe Ubuntu. If you are looking for a very stable distribution then try: Debian, CentOS, Slackware, etc. with a mainstream DE like KDE, Gnome, Xfce.

YMMV.

Agreed. Unity in 11.04 was a disaster. Using Unity in 12.04 gives a very different experience.

Unity in 12.04 is not entirely bug-free but I can't remember the last time Unity crashed on my laptop, if ever.

Thanks!
