Is there a terminal emulator that runs on linux?
Hi All,
I am thinking about the possibility of using linux as the desktop
at some of our stores.
I am running into a snag though.
I will need to telnet/ssh into a linux server.
I know I can do that from the command line. And I can probably
setup a script to do that for the users.
My problem is the emulation. I need to emulate a wyse60 terminal
for one of the programs we use. When I telnet from linux to linux I
come in as an xterm.
I tried changing the environment variable TERM=wyse60.
But, I don't think, that is doing what I think it is doing.
So, my question is; is there a linux terminal emulator similar to
what we would use, if we were telnet/ssh'ing, from a windows PC?
Or, is there a way to do this with "terminal"?
Thanks,
