is it possible? KDE and GNOME menu on backtrack desktop.
Hello, linuxquestions members.
I have a rather strange question. Now I am running backtrack 5 R3 on a machine in KDE desktop, Its running like an angel. Took me a while to get there. Now i have been testing and playing around whit it for some time now. And i see that the GNOME desktop also has a great menu, at top of your desktop. I was thinking can i get both the KDE and the gnome menu on one desktop? Since i love my KDE menu as well. Greetings InQontroll. |

Your great was looking for that the whole time when its only 1 small command apt-get install gnome-panel. Even though i still get errors and it only runs in terminal. Only one top level menu is allowed it sais and a whole bunch of error logs. Should i provide those here so you can take a look at them? ~InQontroll |

I am not sure if you can manage these 2 menus at the same time but it sounds "do-able", I just don't know how. I gnome2 I could edit the gnome-panel properties and add another "Global Menu" or some such. KDE may even have a plasmoid for a gnome-shell menu feature/function. Quote:
