i have a laptop preloaded with ubuntu. I like to reformat and install with slackware but i could not have no idea how to install without the use of cd rom.
I have tried using the usb stick but i think i missing some steps.
I tried to google online but i cant seem to find a scenario similar to mine as most of the tutorials online are focusing on windows installed machine where users want to install linux without cd rom.
I like a few guidance on what can i do to reformat and install a fresh copy of linux..

Which steps? It would be the easiest way if you cannot use cd.
It will be helpful if you tell us, what laptop do you have. Can it boot from usb drives, or it's too old?
Its an asus netbook. It is able to boot from usb. Actually i wan to reformat the whole machine. I do not want the exist OS to be in the machine.
I wondering if i can boot from the bios by select the booting of the usb as the first drive and then reformat by storing the iso in the usb thumb drive.
