Install Beryl on Ubuntu/Kubuntu with ATI Radeon x1300

Hi!

I have Ubuntu installed on my computer, which has an ATI Radeon x1300

graphics card.

I would like to install Beryl on it... Maybe anyone has already done

it with my graphics card? Because when I install it, it just doesn't

work...

If anyone has a solution, I would be very thankful...

#1, you have to install fglrx drivers and verify they work
#2, you must setup Xgl and verify it works
#3, Beryl will run from Xgl.

beryl & compiz not supported
I read somewhere on the Amd website that the radeon doesnt support beryl and compiz. Cant find the link though. Sorry!
Hope they fix this, I have a radeon x1300 aswell!

Since I'm posting this from a thinkpad R60 with an X1300 chip, running fiesty with Beryl, I can definitely say it does. Using the link I provided above it couldn't be any easier, the Beryl folk really know how to make it easy!
