Unhappy Importing Windows Thunderbird to Linux Thunderbird

I am trying to move from XP to Ubuntu. I have a few email accounts set up, but mainly need to move all of my emails over. I have imported the emails to Thunderbird in windows from Outlook, but was unsuccessful importing the accounts. I have the file, but I can't find the Thunderbird config file to set the location. I moved the file in Windows and adjusted the settings on it, but I can't find the file on Ubuntu.

I would also like to be able to dual boot with Windows and Ubuntu and use the same mail file. Is this possible?
