"I/O error while copying files "


I am getting the error message "I/O error while copying the file xyz.dat" while copying files from VCD to hard disk in RedHat linux.
Plz help me.

Can you copy files from the CD drive using other disks. It sounds like a problem with the VCD media. You might try cleaning the disk.

I can copy mp3 or files of other format.But VCDs i am not able to copy.
