I'd like to have a "desktop icon drawer that disappears when not needed"...
I have 8-flash drive icons up on the desktop, and a couple files.. when I prefers the desktop be a blank clean transparent color choice, and/or background pix...
Those bright white icons are a pain in the face, but they're needed to work the PC as required.. so as I'm shifting the icons around to a tight corner, I'm thinking how nice it would be if I was dropping them into an area that changes back to desktop prefs (colours or pix), and hides the batch of "in your face icons" till the cursor touches the "secret icon box", like how FocusWriter hides its top toolbar... Sort of a hidden "screen on screen" thingawhozits...
Is there any base package Linux software that does this?..
Can that part of FocusWriter's package be isolated and added to the desktop to do this..?
