how to prepare automatic linux installation

hi
i want to create a text file that contains all settings of linux installation process, such as suse or solaris. is it possible to forcing setup program to use this configuration file? so user hasn't to response to questions manually and installation proceed automatically based on settings in the text file.
how can i force setup program to use text file lines as user input and don't wait for user responses?
thanks for your helps.

Even if it is possible did it meet the requirements of the law
Because you have to agree with the terms of use of the software without reading you don,t if agree or not
I fore instance like to know if I agree with the proposal where she install it and that is different from Pc TO PC
I do not know about open solaris but how many questions did open suse ask you 3 or 4 total

So what is the use of doing it automatic

All the best

@a.toraby

It's hard to give you a direct answer without knowing which distribution you intend to use or exactly what type of setting you want. However, as a Debian user my thoughts would be to use pre-seeding.

http://d-i.alioth.debian.org/manual/en.i386/apb.html

That might fit your needs.

@ronlau9

There are many reasons why you might want to do this. If you turn out new machines on a regular bases (perhaps in an office environment) you save yourself a lot of time and effort building from one setup. Or perhaps you could send the CD to your not very computer literate friend and they just need to boot it up and it does it all for them.
